The Essential Oils used by Essential Footcare are:
TEA TREE, steam distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia
LEMON, expressed from the peel of Citrus limon
RAVENSARA, steam distilled from the leaves of Ravensara aromatica
MARIGOLD, steam distilled from the flowering tops of Tagetes minuta

TEA TREE
THis has antiseptic, antiviral, antifungal and immunostimulant properties. The Essential Oil is made from distilling the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, which is grown in Australia. Captain Cook found it being used by the native aboriginals, and it was used during both world wars as "a medicine kit in a bottle". Tea tree has a refreshing, clean aroma. Undiluted, it can be used sparingly on intact skin and nails and there is low incidence of allergy. It is safe for use in patients with diabetes and can be diluted for use on children. It blends well with Lavender, Lemon and Ravensara.

LEMON AND TEA TREE OIL A popular blend for foot problems because the two oils combine to powerfully have antiviral and immunostimulant properties. Podiatrists suggest patients apply this to verrucae twice daily.

LAVENDER AND TEA TREE OIL The antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral properties make it helpful to problem nails. Apply one a day.

WART REMOVER Supplied in a convenient roll on for easy application this can be applied to verrucae twice a day. Ravensara has antiviral properties and aromaterapists apply this oil directly to warts and verrucae.

MARIGOLD FOOT CREAM
Made with the Essential Oil of the African Marigold flower (Tagetes minuta) blended into a rich hypo-allergenic cream. The oil has powerful antiseptic and anti-fungal properties making it ideal for soothing irritating foot conditions. The cream has an unusual aroma and mild yellow colour. Apply daily for seven days, then as necessary. Avoid using on broken skin, and discontinue if skin becomes red or sore. Avoid in pregnancy, and not for use with children under 12.
